I found all these free emoticons at http://www.clipartof.com/new/emoticons/1 and if you go there - they are FREE ...
anyway - click on the one you want and then copy the BBCode out and paste it in your blog ... and wala!!

Looks like you all have now figured it out but if anyone else asks you can also look up the MFP thread called "Photo Help" that gives lots of ideas on where to store them and various locations on the web to find them and also a great place to practice is on that thread.
To save one you like from someone's post simple click the quote button and you'll see how it's written out. Some save them on Word, many of us use Photo Bucket (a free hosting site to save photos', .gifs, and that sort of thing, also a great place to search for pretty much any picture to add as well) or as Yankee shared you can simply go directly to the site on the net and get the code there.
Just be extra careful of virus and spyware which are typically very abundant on freeware sites..not all, but many many!:grumble:

just seeing if this works---I'd also like to know how people post their mini goals--is it same---??? tyoe into word then cut and paste EVERYTHING???
