Before exercise, I try to eat 2000 then exercise to get to about 1600-1700.0

I'm 5' 4" and 153 pounds - I do 1300/day. I use between 1200 - 1300 and rarely go over. I do not normally eat my exercise calories back either.0

I'm 5'10", 185lbs and I set mine to 1400. The first week and a half of 1200 was just unrealistic for me, I was starving!
I changed mine to 1400 for the same reason. Now I am getting full and still eating what I need to eat.0 -
5'5", CW 163. Set to lose 1/2 pound a week, 1500 calories per day. It works for me.0

Currently it is 1670 and I am struggling to meet it, but every day is a new day to try again.0

5'3", 127 pounds. According to MFP, my BMR is 1272 and my total daily expediture (before exercise) is 1720. I actually think MFP estimates BMR on the low side for most people, but that's another post altogether.
I aim to eat at least 1600 calories daily. More if I'm hungry on a workout day. I try to eat pretty close to my maintenance calories and let my deficit come more from my weekly exercise. This makes me happy because I LOVE eating. :happy:0 -
1320. But to be honest, I haven't even hit the 800s in at least 2 months.0

This recommended 12000 but I believe I would start at that rate, lol - I up'd it at 1500 and so far I have been able to keep it just below well except yesterday0

--- My starting weight is 260 lbs and I'm 5'6".
--- My working day is not active since I work a desk job.
--- Right now, I'm set to loose 1 lb/week, so MFP says I should eat 1860 cal/day.
--- That means, to maintain this weight I'd have to eat 2360 cal/day (add 500 cals/day because 1 lb = about 3500 calories).
--- I put my goal weight, 150, into CalorieCount.com and it came up with a maintenance daily calorie intake of 1664. If I were to change my goal weight to 160, my maintenance daily calorie intake would be 1718. I'm still not sure what the best goal weight would be for me to be able to maintain it. According to my BMR calcuation, my goal weight should be in the range of 114.6 to 154.9 pounds, but the daily calories at even the high end of that range looks a little low to me, so I may settle for a slightly higher, but maintainable maintenance weight.0 -
5.9" - 78kgs (171 pounds) - 1200 calories0

I'm 5' 7" and down to about 172 (SW 180) and it has me set at 1560. I'm eating close to that a day, before exercise, but having trouble eating back my exercise calories because I'm working out after dinner and I just don't feel hungry and by the time I do get a twinge of hunger, it is eleven at night and I won't eat that late0

I'm 5'4", currently 133.0 lbs, and my current target to lose 1/2 lb per week is 1390 net, and I do eat my exercise calories, so I normally eat a total of around 1800-2000. Today was a 2000 day. :-)0

I'm 5'4" and currently in the 145-150lb range. I am in maintenance and consume 2300-2500 NET calories a day.0

Everyones will be soo different because they have to take height, current weight activity and whether u are male or female. Men always need more maintenaince kcals then women. its just so not fair. You can adjust your kcals to what best works for you. A person whom has a lot of weight to lose shouldnt set there kcals really low ( max 500kcal deficit) because they are less likely to be able to follow. After about the first 4-5 weeks when the hunger pains go away then you can adjust it a little more.0

134 lbs, 5'4", 1400 calories. I've played around with it a bit and decided that I don't want to be stuck at 1200 calories.
Same here... I'm 5'4 138 pounds and just recently boosted it up from 1230 to 1450 because I hit a plateau, and realized I just wasn't eating enough.

Google - Harris Benedict Formula (I saw someone post a website about it.)
At 182 lbs, 5’-5.5” with a moderatly active lifestyle it told me I need 2457 calories to maintain current weight.
Because I want to lose 2 lbs a week I should subtract 1,000 calories (500 per pound)
That puts me at 1457 calories. I range from 1200 - 2000 but on most days I stay around 1400 and it seems to be working!0 -
^I think this guy is famous.
Edit: mine is 2600 cals including exercise. I am trying to cut back on my bf%0 -
Net above 1200 less than 1400. That gives me a little wiggle room if my counts are off.0
