Confused - need some calorie clarification

My calorie allotment was set for me at 1,200 calories by myfitnesspal. I completed my food journal and at the bottom it says I'm eating too little calories (I was 28 calories shy of 1,200). It said 1,200 is the minimum I should be eating. I always thought the number they set for you was the maximum. So if 1,200 is my minimum, what then is my maximum????
