Looking for friends to offer support & guidance

Hello! I am a 33 year old mom with fibromyalgia. I need friends to help support me and keep me on track. I have trouble finding exercise programs that I can stick with because of the fibro and also because of my arm. I was born missing my left arm from about two inches below my elbow. This really limits my upper body exercises. I need all the help I can get, lol!

The past week I have been walking on the treadmill or riding my exercise bike. The last two days I have been using Just Dance 2 for the Wii. I really wanted to do P90 but there is too much stuff on it I couldn't do. I don't know what else to try.0

My opinion only here, but, I think you are on the right track. I am a bicyclist, I have lousy knees, but between bicycling and the tredmill there is alot of energy burning potential there. One thought though, the bicycle is even more low impact than the tread mill, and may be a bit more conducive to your fibro0

Good morning Donna. Good for you! Maybe we can help each other. We can do this!
Thanks bghere. I do notice that when I walk on the treadmill I have a little more pain and stiffness. I usually end up holding on to the bars for dear life, lol.0 -
Hello Heather,
You are on the right track straight away - well done you! I'd love to offer support *that goes to anyone who answers your post!* (I come on to MFP every evening but update throughout the day on my phone!)
I joined MFP in April last year with a goal of losing 3 stone (7lb away from said goal!!) but ill health left me on chronic drugs and in a wheelchair. I have just undergone spinal surgery and am slowly regaining mobility and a sense of self! This site has been a god send as the ONLY way I have consistantly lost weight is through counting calories, and when possible, walking. The support from other people on here is phenomenal, and if adding new people to support is the way to pay some of those back, I'll be delighted to help out.
I am now walking up to 6 miles a day and my calorie allowance is 1200 a day. I've 7lb to go to reach MFP goal, but I want to lose a further stone to be in a better BMI place (and losing weight actually suits me lol!)
So please, add me and together we will beat the bulge!
