Hi

I was wondering what is a good protein shake for building lean muscles while trying to lose fat.

Cheers

ISO Sensation 93 by ultimate nutrition. This is a Whey Isolate, personally, I keep it pretty clean, I use a shaker cup and just shake this with water. You can obviously throw this in a blender with frozen fruit for some flavour and texture.

At the same time, all I'm suggesting is an excellent quality isolate whey protien. It sounds like you probably should do some reading up on some of the principles behind nutrition and excersise. There is no magical shake that will help you build muscle and lose fat.

First, whole foods and a balanced diet is your first move. Then a proper excersise program that includes weight training, plyometrics, and cardio (with High Intensity Interval Training) is needed.
  • My husband and I had strawberry protein whey with 1 cup strawberries, 1 cup blueberries and 1/2 cup pomegranate juice and it was great.

I have read that when picking out a protein powder the more protein the better and make sure to watch your sugar, some companies add more sugar to alter the taste. I bought Body Fortress it has 21 gram of protein and only 2 grams of sugar, got it at Wal Mart for $15.00
  • On occasion, I'll use IsoPure's zero carb whey protein shake. But since I cut down on the carbs most days, I get my protein intake from food sources, like meat and eggs.

I've been using Now Whey Protein. I get the unflavored variety and the taste isn't bad at all. Reminds me of milk.

They advertise that it doesn't clump but it does a bit. Doesn't bother me but worth mentioning in case it doesn't sit well with you.

Oh, and it's generally cheaper than ISOPure but still high quality.
