Can a woman use a man's hrm?

The mens versionof the polar ft 4 is almost $20 cheaper. Can i use that if Iam a woman or do I need to order the female version?

I am 5'7, 150 lbs if that matters.

My FT4 allows you to programme in gender, so shouldnt matter. You get a nice grey one instead of a crappy peach colour!!

gender difference in the item is the colour I believe.
