Bad knees runs in my family. Now that I'm getting older, I am definately starting to develop this problem. Lunges are killer, and often I will find that I can't sit for long periods of time without my knees locking up. I sometimes have to stretch my leg out, just because it hurts to bend it.

Anyway -- does anyone know of any exercises that might strengthen your knees? Any suggestions would be appreciated. :)

  • I've been dealing with knee pain for about 10 years. I just started doing water fitness classes and for the first time in like FOREVER, I can do lunges, run, jog and sprint without pain!!!! I was actually told I need a partial knee replacements (due to only being 42). I am loving the water fitness classes. I've gone 3 times. I've lost 8lbs. in a week!!!!!!!! I joined the YMCA and worth every penny!!!!!

Most knee pain due to exercise is because form and execution are wrong. Rehab exercises include doing leg extensions and knee flexion exercises.
