This weekend I purchased the Jillian Michaels (Biggest Loser Coach) for BEGINNERS!!!! I just tried it and couldn't even last 30 mins. I did 20 mins and had to quit becuase I literally felt like I was going to puke!!! I don't know if I didn't wait long enough after I ate dinner or what but man that is so discouraging. I did jazzercise for a year with no problems. But that was over a year ago. I guess I am more out of shape then I realized. Tomorrow I will try to go for at least an additional 5 minutes. And every day I will try to add 5 minutes until I can complete the entire thing. I am just very bummed right now and disappointed in myself!!! :grumble:

I don't know how to count that on the exercise journal or if I should even count it????

If you did 20 minutes, you should count 20 minutes! Honor that accomplishment.

Something is always better than nothing!

Trying to add a little more every time you do it is exactly the right idea! When I first started exercising, I literally couldn't do more than 10 minutes on the treadmill. Sometimes you have to build up gradually.

    you can do it. :flowerforyou:

Don't worry. It's hard. I'd just be happy you got as far as you did.

And, yes, I would count it in the journal. You deserve it. Maybe log it under general aerobic.
  • hey, put it into the exercise log you did fabulous :flowerforyou:
    everyone's gotta starts somewhere.
You decided to do it and you did it - what's to be disappointed about? Bet when you do it tomorrow its not nearly such a shocking experience
take good care of yourself and give yourself a big 'well done'

(sad but true - my exercise log includes quite a few 'ten minutes brisk walking to the shop' - I think well that's 10 minutes more than I would have done and i rejoice in the little calorie figure that pops up)

If you worked that hard, it doesn't matter whether you finished it. Judge yourself by your own standards. You know what your personal best is -- and by pushing yourself as hard as you can, you are achieving it!. :drinker:
