Hi I am just reading a book by Dr Clark on a high protein low carb diet and wondered if anyone had tried it?

I am a man who has never in my life tried a diet (I dont believe they work) but reading his book and its seems to be medically sound along with observations I have made in my own life about when I put on weight or loose it. Also it doesnt seem impossible to do so I my tempted to try it as at least an experiment.

Love to here about successes and failures so I can get an idea of the success rate

Thanks :)

i've done it, I lost a lot of weight and actually felt pretty decent. I'm a total carb addict though, so one slip and I was back to gorging on everything in sight. I try now to eat a higher protein amount, it just makes me feel better, but I'm not really low carb.
  • Cheers,
    thats good to know

must admit im a sucker for carbs as well you just got to love them:)

Carbs do make life worth living...LOL. The first few days of going low carb are a killer...not going to lie, it's like going through detox. Once you get it all out of your system it gets a lot easier, until you slip...LOL.

I'm trying to do the "no white" thing (no sugar, white flours, rice, pasta etc) but...yeah...not doing the greatest at that.
  • Ahh, yeah I think I would find that one easier, I love brown bread and rice so it wouldn't be quite so worrying :)
    good luck though:)

still its got some nice recipe ideas so will try it today
