Newbie to myfitnesspal

My name is Jessica and I'm obviously very new here. I stumbled across the myfitnesspal app for the iPhone while looking for some kind of -- any kind of -- calorie tracker. I've been using the app for close to two weeks and so far I absolutely love it. It has helped me tremendously in my effort to improve my diet and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

I'm 20 years old, 5'8" and looking to lose a total of 30 pounds. I would love to meet other people in the myfitnesspal community. Having like-minded friends to talk to would be a great motivation. I'd love the opportunity to swap recipes, exercise tips, stories, etc.

While I'm new to counting calories and watching my diet, I have an extensive background in physical exercise -- the gym is my second home. I'd be happy give advice to anyone who is unsure about where to start or to learn new information from others.
