Possible, yes. Advisable, no.
You need other nutrients that fruit doesn't have, like protein. And protein helps you lose weight. And keeps your body from falling to pieces.0 -
Well i need protein in my diet or else i start feeling fatigued and cant funtion well. i only do pure fruit and veggies if i am doing a cleanse0

If you like diarrhea, yes.0

Just fruit will lead to malnutrition if you keep it up for too long. You're body requires amino acids, and those are only found in protein. You're body also has a requirement for some fats. You will not get that in fruit.0

I have a master's degree in zoology. from a biological standpoint, fruit is considered nutritionally poor, meaning it has little protein. You need protein.0

I have a high school diploma. I think just fruit is not good idea.0

Since you added the "and veggies" as an afterthought, I'm assuming you're talking about a mostly fruit diet with just a few veggies. Doesn't sound like a good idea. But can you eat just fruit and veggies? Yes, that's called a vegan diet. It is a bit more difficult to do it in a healthy way, but can be done.0

lol!!! I agree!
ps. I never did use my fancy degree.I have a high school diploma. I think just fruit is not good idea.0 -
a healthy vegan diet has to include protein sources like legumes, tofu, seitan etc. If you eat just fruit and vegetables you will be malnourished.Since you added the "and veggies" as an afterthought, I'm assuming you're talking about a mostly fruit diet with just a few veggies. Doesn't sound like a good idea. But can you eat just fruit and veggies? Yes, that's called a vegan diet. It is a bit more difficult to do it in a healthy way, but can be done.0

Vegans also include grains in their diet, though.
Eating just fruit and some vegetables is a dumb idea, come on, this is pretty obvious.0 -

Some of the replies here are actually funny.... I am a vegan and I get everything I need from plant based foods. if you meal plan, understand what you're eating and why you can be in the best shape of your life being a vegan. You can get all the protein, essential fats and oils you need. The only little extra you need is a TINY bit of B12 which can be found in a good multivitamin.0

Eat lean meats, whole grains, nuts, low fat dairy, fresh fruits and veggies.
Eat clean but keep it simple and balanced.0 -

There are people who just eat fruit, frutiarians or something like that, but I believe they include things like legumes and nuts as fruits.
And, as others have mentioned, there are vegans, who do not consume any animal products, but do eat fruit, veggies, and grains.0 -
It is. Well, fruits, nuts/seeds, and a some veggies. Fruitarians generally eat at least 75% of their diet in fruit. http://www.fruitnet.org/0
