First day P90x, didn't make it through.

So I started P90x today, the lean schedule. Frankly, I didn't make it past the first half hour of the core video. Sad/good thing is, it is more working out than I have done in... longer than I would like to admit.
I am going to try to make it through the whole thing tomorrow.
Tell me, what were your strategies for getting started? I can't be the only one that couldn't hack the first day. Right??
Btw, new here, thought I already posted something similar, can't/don't know how to find it.

Congratulations on your first day of P90X! Since you were doing Core today I am thinking you are doing the Lean program?? I am a P90X grad and would love to help and support you through your journey! It is a hard workout and I struggled with so many moves when doing the program I didn't think I'd ever make it through but I did. It gets better and you do just have to do your best and forget the rest!
You are not the first one who could not finish the first day at all! It happens to everyone believe me! I was thinking WTH when I started it LOL!!!!!! My advice to you is to stick to the program - keep doing it the best that you can, take breaks as needed and just keep pushing and pushing. You deserve to give yourself the 90 days to see the transformation your body is going to take.
Here is a link to my video showing my results that started with P90X. Feel free to friend me if you want support/motivation I LOVE helping othershttp://youtu.be/nTefXPYEY7E

I just started p90x again yesterday. I'm also doing the Lean workout so Core was my first workout. I did the program almost completely through about 3 years ago but haven't done much since then. It is TOTALLY ok to not get thru the entire thing! I prefer to kind of adjust as I go and try to get thru the entire workout, but do less reps than they do for each exercise. I'm a freak in that I feel like a failure if I don't 'finish' the workout, but not so much if I just do less reps. Then each time, I try to do more reps until I'm doing the entire workout. You'll be surprised how quickly you progress if you keep it up!!!
I'm also going to change up the schedule just a bit, because I want to do yoga today. Yoga is 90 minutes and it's easier for me do that on the weekend. So I'm swapping the CardioX workout with Yoga on the Lean schedule. CardioX is only about 45 mins, so easier to fit into a workday
Good luck!0 -
