Should I be eating more calories?

Hi
I have only been using MFP for 6 days. I have a lot of weight to lose and therefore MFP says that I should have around 2100 calories which really freaked me out.
I have been an irregular eater but have this week made sure that I eat Breakfast, lunch and dinner and try and have snacks as well, with the aim to be eating every 2-3 hours.
Despite eating more healthy food choices and more frequently I am finding that I am well under my calories (1500 - 1700 calories per day).
Should I be increasing what I eat to get my metabolism moving or stick with what I am doing?

Check you settings are correct and then try and eat what MFP gives you calorie wise as its worked out to give you the best weight loss, whilst also giving you enough calories to get enough proper nutrition.\
Edit to say - if you open your diary people will be able to give you better advice.0 -

I have opened up my diary.
I am eating more than I used to and not sure that I could actually eat anything more that was not a bad food choice.0
