Hi All,

I am looking into getting an HRM, and after reading posts on MFP, I think I am going to go with the Polar FT4.

My question is - Is there a difference between the "Men's" & "Women's"? I was looking on Amazon, and the Men's silver one is WAY cheaper than the pink Women's.

Appreciate the help!!!

I would imagine the mens would be larger, are you just it's not just on sale? As for what they do you can set the HRM to know whether you're male or female, so if there are any actual differences it should say in the description.

I just bought the men's Polar FT4 for that very reason--it was cheaper than the pink women's one. There is no functional difference, and here's how I know--when you set it up with your stats, it asks you if you're Male or Female. I've been using it for several days now and I'm very satisfied with it so far!

i bought teh silver one because it was cheaper too. i think the womens one MIGHT come with a smaller chest band, but its adjustable so i dont think that matters much. really the only difference is color
  • Thanks All!!! I am going to do it! I do have small wrists so it may be a little big, but I will make it work. I can sacrifice a little bit of comfort for the price!

I'm pretty sure they work exactly the same, it's just the style that's different... the men's is bulkier and more "mannish"

    LOL
