cooking some thighs, legs and wings on bone - how do I estimate how much meat there is? 6 pieces weighing 680 g what do you reckon?

Gah! Not sure but I'd hazard a guess at about 450? Always tastier cooked on the bone, isn't it?

If you have a food scale, you can try weighing the bones after you're done eating and then subtract to get the weight of the meat. It feels silly but only takes a few seconds

I actually do this quite often, thought I'd sound a bit obsessive if I admitted it, haha!

I did this with ribs the other night and felt really obsessive. But it works.
