Can anyone tell me how to get started on lifting weights, I have a small set of I think 2kg weights that I'd like to start doing some reps with but I don't have the luxury of going to the gym

Any advice you can give me and I'll be very gracious!

The Women's Health Big Book of Exercises for women is a GREAT resource. Check your library too!

This book requires a gym membership or a full set of weights (dumbbells and barbell) plus many other types of equipment.

Start with basic moves like squats, rows, deadlifts, shoulder presses, lunges (forward and backward) and push-ups. To get the most benefit (results) you'll need heavier dumbbells.
