I stumbled upon mfp this morning while browsing in the Apps store. I have been looking for an easy, online tracker and am happy to say I found it! In October I turned 40 and was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Not my best month! Last summer, watched what I ate, did Zumba 2-3 times a week and completed 4 weeks of a C25K training. After all of that, I hadn't lost an ounce or an inch. Needless to say I was beyond frustrated and felt defeated. Research of PCOS has taught me I need to really limit sugars and processed white flours.
My plan to get healthy includes: going to Curves 3X a week, Zumba 2X a week, and tracking EVERYTHING that passes my lips here. I have made some changes and feel better but the weight is not moving yet. I know it is not going to be easy and will take commitment but I am ready to do it. If I focus on losing 1lb a week, I can be at my goal weight before I turn 41!
