Need to shrink a thermal shirt

Haha hello, I bought a white thermal shirt from AE like a week ago, I haven't worn it or washed it yet but I know it's too big...the medium was just too small but the large is a bit big....so how do I shrink it but not too much? Just 1/2 a size

Put it in a Dryer.... If it is cotton, it should shrink.

thanks but, what temp do I wash it, how long, what temp do i dry it, how long, etc...

No washing... Just wet a washcloth and put it and the shirt in the dryer on high. Check very 7 mins or so...
