Sharper Image HRM?

Does anyone have a Sharper Image HRM? I bought one today and I can not get it to work. It was $70 off so it was a good deal Can't get the screen to open up to put in age/height and put it on did 2 min of jumping jacks - burned 0 cals?

About ready to take it back and try another one.
