Can't take a deep breath without coughing, should I work out

If so, what type of workout can I do to not make it worse? SO tired of being sick.

    You be careful.

    Personally, I would do walking until the cough went away.

    Rule of thumb:
    head cold ONLY = work out
    chest involvement = DON'T

    rest.

    It's definitely in my chest. Burns like heck when I cough.

    It's not worth it, just rest. Your lungs and bronchial tubes will thank you for it....

    Take Mucinex and sleep with a humidifier.
    Hope you feel better. You need to rest to heal. Working out will run you down and not allow your body to focus on recovery.

    Proper rest is just as important as working out if not more important.

    If you have had the cough/illness for 10-14 days, it is time to see the doc, especially if you are not sleeping well. Hope you feel better soon.

    Thanks everyone. I've had this cough forever. It started in early November, and lasted through to the 3rd week of December. I got a nice break, but now it's back. So frustrated.
