I was just looking at my diary and I noticed im under 1200 everyday.. I eat 3 meals a day and snacks in between. I never let myself go hungry lol. But i exercise daily too and gain an addition 500+ calories to consume. I cant eat a recommended 1700 a day! I barely do over 1000..
So my question is, is it bad that im not eating thaaat many calories?

From what I've read you should be eating no less than 1200 calories net. You can always add in peanut butter or nuts, fruit. Also, remember it's a weekly average, so maybe you have a high calorie day one day to balance it all out.0

I can be bad, yes. If you're working out hard your body needs lots of nutrients.
Have you tried eating some trail mix or having a protein shake/bar after your workouts? Those are usually good for a few hundred (good for you) calories.0 -
i would like to know what you eat? cause i always eat between 1600-2000 cals a day .....and i would love to cut back to 1200....0

Yes. Unless you are 3 foot tall.
The trick to proper weight loss is having a healthy balance of food coming in to jack up the metabolism to burn it off and to fulfill the bodies nutritional needs. Eating below 1200 probably isnt giving you the proper nutrients needed.
Go run your numbers at Fat To Fit Radio under Tools.
Do the military body fat calc and the BMR tool.
Youll be surprised at how much you should be eating.0 -
