I am 30years old. I gained 40 lbs in nursing school and graduated in December from the ADN and begin the BSN tomorrow. I'm on my 3rd week with fitness pal and cardio trainer to get healthy. So far I have lost 6 lbs. Today we went just over 6 miles through south mountain. My friend was in my class in nursing school and she currently works as an LPN so we go whatever days she is off. We went 4 days, 3 days, and once so far on the new week. We love food and we eat a lot of fast 'junk'. Using fitness pal has helped me pay more attention to my meals, but I did not jump right into crazy calorie reduction. We just exercise A LOT by hiking to offset our terrible diets. We're eating better, but nothing to get excited about. I still had Dutch bros coffee and a sausage burito from McDonalds today. However...........we had a turkey breast sandwich while on the mountain for lunch. Let's see how this goes. Hoping for a bikini body by summer. Who's with me?

Welcome east valley person. I LOVE food,love to cook. I find I have to substitute good food with a lot of salads. I mean a lot of salad. But I do make those yummy too. A few slices of filet, or grilled chicken on top of a Caesar salad and that holds me for a little while. Seems I always gotta be munchin on something. Time must be tight formyoumtoo as a nurse I'm sure. Hang in there0
