Okay, so lacking 585 calories, 137g of carbs and 29g of fat. Any ideas people? I had a feeling I was undereating before this all began and now I know it's true - what I've entered in to my food diary is only half of what my maintenance calories supposedly are and this seems like a lot of food to me now already. Need some ideas; keep it potato/pasta/rice free please. Thinking I could just munch a big chocolate bar at lunch :D

Anybody interested, feel free to add me as well :)

Almonds, or just about any nut.

Wow you could go MAD with those calories / carbs / fat! Probably best to use them on something healthy - I had some left over the other day and had some crispbreads with sliced tomato, cheese and vegemite (Yes I am an Aussie!) or maybe crispbreads / bread with peanut butter as revren10 suggested. Trouble is you have to watch the protein count as well!

If you are too far below your calculated needs I assume that means your metabolism goes into starvation mode? That's the message I keep getting.

look for protein bars you can stash away for a day like that! Cliff bars are full of calories

Not at the moment - I've just been eating MORE than I'm used to the last few days and I know the difference now - when I eat properly, I feel constantly hungry (oh sweet irony) and when I don't eat enough, even a small snack will leave me feeling full for a while. I'm thinking peanut butter on toast being added to my lunch would do the trick - I try to avoid too much bread, and already have nuts listed in snacks.

Thanks for the suggestions, keep 'em coming :)
