Add more veggies to the sauce- broccoli, shredded carrots, cauliflower, green pepper, onions- and less sodium :)

Lean ground beef or lean ground turkey (the turkey they sell here is 85/15 which has more calories than the lean ground beef) instead of normal.

Whole wheat spaghetti instead of normal.

I grind up some carrots real fine and add them to the tomato sauce, that I make only with canned tomatoes, no sugar added. Italian no sodium added herbs and some finely cut onions. As I am on a low fat diet I only add a little bit of olive oil. And then let it boil for about 2-4 hours, the longer the better, with the added ground beef, that I roasted in a frying pan first. That's what is called "Bolognese". As I am German I don't do the meatballs, sorry :).
