Hi I am fairly new to this forum and I have a question. Today marks my first week in my desire to change and I have a question. First a little background. I was fairly inactive. I would not eat breakfast, a reasonable lunch, a fairly large supper, and lots of snacks (chips and chocolate bars) in the evening.

Since I have started MFP I have been using the treadmill, and I am also on level 1 day 4 of 30ds. I find that I am now getting hungry every hour or two during the day, so I have been snacking on low calorie foods. (Grape tomatoes, baby carrots, rice cakes, etc)

My question is am I better to eat less of more calorie dense foods to shrink my stomach, or is it better to eat more of the less calorie foods and keep my stomach full.

I'm no expert... but what's worked for me is larger quantities of low calories foods. I consume lots of veggies throughout the day, and I eat every 3-4 hours. I try to even out my calories between each of the 5-6 meals I consume per day. The only way to do that and feel satisfied is to indulge in foods that add volume without making a huge caloric dent. Hope that helps some.

Oh and welcome! Best of luck on your journey! :flowerforyou:
