It's a new year and I need some ideas on things to bring to work for Lunch so I am not tempted to "go grab something" that typically is not a good choice...please help!!!

I'm thinking I am going to start eating oatmeal for breakfast but just not sure what to do for lunch.

thanks in advance!!

I generally bring leftovers, but I keep a supply of Campbell's Healthy Request soups in my desk for days that I forget it or don't have time to pack it.

Some non-leftover suggestions are: hummus or peanut butter with veggie sticks or apple, low carb sandwich wraps (hummus, grilled chicken or fish, or herbed soft tofu w a leafy green and chopped/shredded veggies, Kashi and Amy's make frozen dinners that are a bit more nutritious than most.

I don't need to bring a lunch to work, but I send my kids with lunches and they are GREAT for adults too. Pack yourself a bento box! There are tons of great websites with how to pack them, but I usually do rice balls, seaweed, a fruit(grapes, strawberries, blueberries, apple slices, a Cutie), veggies (baby carrots, olives, cherry tomatoes, celery) and maybe a few pieces of rolled up turkey or chicken cold cut.
  • I alternate between: 3 oz of meat (chicken, pork, or a turkey burger) plus carrots and peanut butter and a salad made with spinach, cucumbers, carrots, tortilla strips, and 3 oz of meat (usually chicken). I have that with raspberry vinegrette dressing.

I have started bringing wraps for lunch. Today was a whole wheat wrap with a pack of herb and garlic tuna, some tomato, onion, and lettuce. It was pretty tasty and no need for mayo because the tuna is really moist.
