    Hello everyone :flowerforyou:
Hope you're all well, how are you all getting on?
I've just finished a 3 hour walk with my dog, I'm absolutely worn out now, but hey, I managed to burn 769 calories

I've kept within my calories all week so far, well...up until last night, went over by 200 :noway: but hey, the walk will hav put that record straight!

Got a date with the washing machine this afternoon :grumble: but other than that, I'm planning to relax the rest of the day - think I deserve it after all that

    Take care everyone :flowerforyou:

Great Job Jackie. Three hours WoW. Your dog must be flopped on the floor, or was your dogie walking you.

    Hope all is well.

She's feeling just a wee bit sleepy
I called her with her lead a little earlier to take her for her evening walk, all she did was frown and moan at me

Oh well here it is, Thursday already!! Just don't ask me where the rest of the week went
I'm going for another walk today, only an hour or so this time, picking up some teddies for my dog that a friend no longer wants (my dog loves teddies:love: and yes, I spoil her :smooched: )

I'm going to use my exercise bike before I go out, if I leave it until I get back, I know I won't bother :blushing: Strange thing is, when I used to go to the gym, I could sit on the bike for like 45 minutes and think nothing of it, but I only manage to sit on my bike for 20 minutes before my bum goes numb! :blushing:

I don't seem to be sweating much these days, so I guess I'll just have to work harder :ohwell:
I uased to have one of those rowing machines, but I got rid of it when we moved, I really miss it, I could kick myself right now!!!

Does anyone want to join me in some challenges? I was thinking each of us could challenge each other to do various activities, and see how we get on - anything to shift those scales in the right direction

    :flowerforyou: Good morning Jackie!

I had a mare of a day yesterday... somehow i managed to pack in over 2,000 cals without exercising.. and i feel like a complete let down to myself...:frown:
So... today is a new day - im back on track (i hope seeing as its only 8.35am) and ready to start again!!! Like you say - i need a challange so im setting my exercise targets...

    TODAY
Rowing, stationary, moderate effort 10mins 79cals
    Strength training 10mins 33cals
    Running (jogging), 6 mph (10 min mile) 15mins 164cals
    Cross Trainer 10mins 134cals
Walking, 4.0 mph, very brisk pace 5mins 27cals

Its not all been that bad though as i went to aerobics tuesday night + the gym and monday night i did a DVD + a very unenthusiastic session at the gym i.e burning nothing!!!!

so im back onto eating my 1,330 that i should be eating plus execise cals added..

wish me luck as i have been a bit pants at this recently!!! too many temptations in the office..!!

Morning Katherine, how is Guildford this morning? Miserable and wet here in Brighton :grumble:
Hmmm, only 13 stubborn pounds to go, lets hope they don't remain stubborn pounds.
I just came across this - hope it helps you and any one else that has hit this stage :flowerforyou:

Because every individual is unique, there's no way to actually predict when a plateau might happen. However, the principles of nutrition, rest, and variation will jumpstart your body, mind, and metabolism.
There are 3 articles in the Resource Center that explore these concepts in further detail:
    http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/fitness_articles.asp?id=516
    http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/fitness_articles.asp?id=522
    http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/fitness_articles.asp?id=534

    Jackie

Thanks for this Jackie:flowerforyou: .. i shall have a lookie!!!
Yes my morning has started off very positively - however the weather isnt so great... what a dull morning!!
yes 13 stubborn pound may i say... hee hee... they just wont go:grumble: ! i think its because of my addiction to chocolate!! Talking of addictions did you hear about it on the news this morning.. they are thinking of taxing chocolate...!?!? What a Joke!!

    Hope you are ok?

    Morning Katherine :flowerforyou:
Yeah I'm good thanks, how are you?

We all get days like you had yesterday hun, but hey, sounds like you worked your butt off before the 'sin day' and are going to again today, so all the exercise will hopefully counteract any 'potential harm done' by one day.

I've just rode 5 miles on my stationery bike, burning 61 calories - :ohwell: I guess the scenery wasn't very interesting
About to go for that 1.5 hour walk - so that'll be around 500-700 calories - assuming I can tempt my dog to keep up - although, every time I go near the front door she frowns after yesterdays walk

I also want to use my step machine - which will be later, around 10 minutes - 59 calories

So all in all, I'm hoping to burn a minimum of 720 calories today, but I'm only eating half back - and see how I get on, gotta kickstart the weight loss some how

Also aiming to drink at least 10 glasses of water today - no cafeine for me today (hmmm, we can all dream!)

    Hi Katherine
Nah I don't always walk that far, just do it when I feel like it.
I'm usually runnign round looking after old people, but with everything that's happened in the past few months, I've ended up signed off work with depression - it's taken over 2 months to clear my head, but things seem clearer now - thank goodness! My son has his 'moments' but no where near as bad as they were bad as before - he is also on anti-depressants, and as long as he takes his meds first thing in the morning, he's fine. If he takes them late, he gets quite big mood swings, but other than that, he's much more stable - thanks for asking :flowerforyou:

My dog has turned her back on me  She refused to go out with me this morning - I said walkies, she ran into the kitchen, laid down in front of the wahing machine and outrightly refused to budge! Oh well, I guess I over walked her yesterday

My son told me to be careful, although she's a big dog, keep taking her on 'MY' long walks, and she'll think walking is a punishment :noway:

I did the walk with my son instead, I burnt up 438 calories so far today, but my son complained, he is a stick insect :grumble: and told me y shopping is too healthy, I walk to the store, and I buy everything healthy, he wants donuts, pizza and chocolate, but instead his mum buys wholemeal bread, weight watchers cakes and pretzels - I don't know why he's complaining, at least he can eat anything and not put an ounce on! :grumble: He also tells me, he will not be joining me on my walks anymore as he is in fear of losing weight!
Guess I'll be investing in a moutain dog or a St Bernard next........

How did everyone do during the week? Sorry I wasn't around yesterday, I had my head in the books all day, I'm studying for my diploma in criminology, and got an essay to finish by tomorrow - one more piece to write and its all done

I stayed within my calories all week, then last night I had some chocolate :blushing: ah well, I'll know tomorrow if it was a bad idea when I weigh in.

Talking of weighing in, I haven't had anyone's weights this week yet, can you send them please ladies :flowerforyou:

    Morning all,

Last night I feel off the wagon. I ordered take out, and got Pad Thai. Something I have not had in 7 months. It was sooo good. However, before I ate that I weighed 166. This morning I weighed 168. OMG I am my worst enemy. I sabotage myself constantly. :explode: :explode: :explode:

So Jackie my weight is 168 3/15/09.

Good luck with your essay:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

Sorry you had a bad day hun  but you can rest assured you're not alone, I ate all the wrong things yesterday, sweets, biscuits, basically everything I'm not supposed to eat

:flowerforyou: Jackie, I wish I could say I lost. Friday before I ate my Pad Thai, I weighed 166 today 169. So, I gained 3lbs.

I am OK now. Just had a lot on my plate (no pun intended) this week-end.

I have already done the Biggest Loser Boot Camp DVD. I really like it.

    So better days are coming.

:flowerforyou: Jackie congrats with your 3lbs. lost. Way to go!!!!

    Good morning Jackie, :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

    I hope your ok??

For the first time ever since being on MFP i have entered an entire weeks worth of food and exercise before - so this is going to be interesting to see how well i will do..

Everyday i will print off what i should be eating and exercising, so it will be easier for me to follow each day instead of entering extra food the day after or missing out on exercise that i should have done..

    Sooo wish me luck!!

1 month till my Ireland trip - 5lbs to loose :indifferent: i hope i do it!!!

    :flowerforyou: Hello Everyone,

I'm just checking in. I'm doing much better today as far as calorie consumption. I seem to do well during the work week. Makes me want to work during the week-end also. But, I did have a great time with my family. Can't have everything.

Hope all is well with everyone.
