Smart Health Heart Rate Monitor Question

Hi All...
I received, as a gift, the Heart Rate Monitor /Pedometer watch by Health Smart. When I power it on and off it shows all the "icons" that are on/ in the watch. One of the things that shows is something called CALS. I'm assuming that is calories, possibly burned, during the workout. But the instruction manual and packaging doesn't say that it shows calories.
Does anyone have this watch/Pedometer and if so, do you know what the CALS is and how to get it to show??
