Workout sets - difference when you do them?

When doing crunches, does it make a difference if I do the sets far apart or grouped together? For example, I work from home often, and every 20 minutes or so I get up and do a set or two of 10, and repeat for a while. Is this effective, or is it better to do sets altogether?

for Calisthenics and like exercises, thats just fine. Do them all you want, whenever.
for Weight lifting (where you most often hear the term "Sets") you would probably want to keep them together while your muscles are still "pumped" and blood flow active...
obviously if you're training for endurance (running, swimming, cycling, etc) you cant break it up and expect to see the same results....0 -
I don't know, i don't waste my time with crunches. They are a bottom tier exercise. If i want to hit my abs i do front pause squats.0
