You need to work out what works best for you. What kind of carbs are you eating? Are you eating wholegrains with lots of fibre, or are you eating refined carbs with lots of sugar?
I used to be an anti-carb girl and thought they made me fat. Now I can eat around 200g of carbs a day and I have a flatter stomach than before.0 -
Make sure you deduct the fiber grams from your carb grams. That will give you the actual carb count in the item.0

In any given product it doesn't matter, it is at the end of your day did you meet or exceed your macros. I eat fruit which is about 100% carbs, but still end up getting my macros for fat and protein for the day.0

As a diabetic, my nutiitionist told me to eat 45 grams of carbs per meal.0

rather than keeping one area low, I focus on meeting a minimum of 1 gram of protein per lb of body weight and split remaining calories between carbs and fats. Loads of energy, rarely hungry and still lost plenty fast. Barring a metabolic condition, have diabetes ect, carbs are not going to hurt your weight loss AS LONG AS you’re in an overall caloric deficit.0 -
usually things in boxes have many carbs. so you want to go for proteins in chicken, beef, turkey, nuts, beans, soy (ish) products, tofu, whatever floats your fancy. and eggs are good too. and vegetables (fresh) or frozen
fruits will have many carbs, don't be wary of fruit sugars/carbs they're good for ya
plenty water, other beverages can sneak a lot of junk in
I like milk/dairy they have a nice amount of carbs, but usually the protein is higher or sufficiently proportionate
and you will know when something is just too much for you if you see anything over 9grams of sugar, sometimes I go higher than that, but really just take a look at the ingredients and educate yourself on what is in a product0 -
thanks this was very helpful. i have been going slightly over with my carbs and was wondering what was average so i can educate myself on what is good and what is too much when i buy foods. thanks i appreciate itusually things in boxes have many carbs. so you want to go for proteins in chicken, beef, turkey, nuts, beans, soy (ish) products, tofu, whatever floats your fancy. and eggs are good too. and vegetables (fresh) or frozen
