Hey everyone. I am 5'3 and right now Im only looking to lose about 5 lbs. I had my son 15 months ago and was able to lose all of my baby weight in addition to a few extra lbs. I have battled with my weight and body image issues since I was about 19-20 years old and I am now almost 34 (next Monday is my birthday). My highest weight was about 200 lbs. I have gone through the weight loss cycle a few times due to different events that happened along the way. The first time I lost 70 lbs in 10 months and kept it off for 3 years and then got engaged and started putting the weight back on. My weight went back up to 170 lbs to the point where I couldnt fit into my wedding dress (when I bought the dress I was 154 lbs). In order to fit back into my dress, I knew what I needed to do and I did it and lost 13 lbs right before my wedding and was able to fit into my dress. After we got back from our honeymoon, I kept the weight loss going and got back down to 128 lbs. I was actually able to get down to 125 but could only maintain that for a few weeks. In 2009, I started running half marathons and ran 5 before I got pregnant at the end of January 2010. During pregnancy, I continued to workout up until I gave birth. I still managed to gain 36 lbs despite working out every day. The first week after delivery I lost 22 lbs with no effort. I was breastfeeding my son at the time (did it for 12 months) so I really believe that helped with the weight loss. By late February-early March of 2011I was already back at my pre-pregnancy weight of 134. My profile picture was actually taken in April 2011 and I was about 132. Currently I am fluctuating back and forth between 127-130.

I am actually a Personal Trainer and have been a trainer for the last 6 years (have been involved in fitness since I started my weight loss journey) so my clients have literally seen the ups and downs with my weight but stayed with me because they know that I can relate to their struggle more than a trainer who has never had any weight issues before. And for that, I am very thankful to them. I actually referred my clients to this site because I thought it would be really helpful for them to start tracking their food. I was tracking my food but through a notebook...

I decided to also join MFP to not only give additional motivation and support to my clients but also to get a better handle on my own eating. Right around Halloween is when I started seeing my weight increase a little here and there. Instead of waiting until I gained 10 lbs, I decided to catch it when I was 3-5 lbs above the weight I was comfortable at.

I must say, I have never been so honest with a food journal as I am now that Im on this site. Every time I sit down and eat something, I am logging it online, no matter what it is. If I take that extra 1/2 a cookie or piece of gum, I track it because I need to. I dont want to go back to where I was before. I have come so far and have done so much work on myself both on the inside AND outside to let myself slip too far off track.

I have read everyone's stories and definitely feel like we can all motivate and support each other and am glad that I decided to join. Feel free to add me.......

Looking forward to meeting new people on this site.
