Help....I am stuck.

So I started my MFP journal about 3 months ago. I lost weight quickly in the beginning....about 8 pounds the first month and did well the second month too...but now I am at a standstill. I am not losing much...if any. Between Christmas and new Years I went off track a little, but last week was under my calories (1200) and exercised almost every day...yet no change. In fact, I have actually gained a pound. Can anyone suggest a way to start losing at a rate that is similar to when I began? I see myself getting discouraged which can lead to giving up (which I don't want to do). =( Thanks!
