    Well I guess I can't say it's all "Greek" to me.. But all "Arabic" to me... I love chickpeas in salads and side dishes.. but can't get use to Hummus..

    i LOVE hummus. I could eat an entire tub of it so I dont keep it around the house but it is good for you in small portions. try all the different flavors, red pepper, green chile etc. Easy to make. 1 can garbanzo beans, a little olive oil, lemon juice, parsley, garlic...blend and voila!

    I googled the pronunciation and found 100 different answers. Some say HUMus,..whoomas..Koomas.. I always pronounced it HUE-mus!:laugh:

    I and my husband the chef pronounce it HUM US.

    He makes so many good ones, thank god someone here likes to cook! :laugh:

    Something else that is good and often sold around hummus is tabbouleh! I like to put a tbsp or two on the hummus in a tortilla! YUM!

    It is good with just some pita chips/pita bread too! But it adds a nice tanginess!!
