I thought it would be fun to see what others reward theirselves with when they reach mini-goals that they set for theirself!
I am only 35lbs away from hitting 200lbs....
I am planning on designing a Tiger Lily Tattoo for myself - this will also have my Grandfather's nickname in a beautiful font worked into the greenery. The first flower I have ever received was a bright and beautiful orange tiger lily, and it came from my grandfather... My heart broke when he died in 2005... he practically raised me and kept me under his wing...
Both he and I were making alot of food changes together, eating healthy, sharing recipes together.. it was such an honor to be able to come to his house and cook him dinner... a nice home-cooked meal. And at the table, he had the same tiger lilies from his garden in a beautiful arrangement at the table. He not only gave me my first flower as a child, but he also gave the first tiger lily to his great-granddaughter: that was to MY daughter....
It has a very strong emotional meaning... and I was thinking about what milestone would really make a difference for me, to have full meaning and something that was one-of-a-kind...
This tattoo will have multiple meanings but it ties directly into my weightloss efforts, sharing that effort with my grandfather - symbolizing the first flower he ever gave me, and then he shared that legacy with my daughter as well.....
What do you do????
