Shin splints after day 4 of Shred

I need help. I have tried the c25k program in the past and just running in general and I always get shin splints and have to rest and then usually lose motivation and don't want to move or work out because I don't want to be in pain anymore. Anyway, I started 30 Day Shred on Friday and today I could hardly get through the cardio moves because I have shin splints again. I was wondering if anyone knew why I keep getting them. Should I be working out on the carpeted floor with or without shoes or does it matter? I just got some new shoes but the last 2 nights I haven't worn them so I am thinking that might be why. I stretch my calfs and do the circle stretches for my shins but I'm sick of starting something and then being in the wrong kind of pain (compared to the good muscle pain when you know you're just sore from a good workout). Can anyone give me advice on what I can try to do to minimize this pain and prevent getting these. I really want to finish shred this time.

I'm looking for the same answer. I have done the Shred before, but now I weigh more:blushing: and am doing it in conjunction with C25k. My shins hurt so bad that it is difficult to walk when I'm finished.0

Look up shin stretches.
Theres are several that I have found like walking backwards that help stretch that area.
I used to suffer them bad while running and now that I stretch better I havent got them.
Also look at your shoes. I suffer from flat feet, I got Brooks Adrenalines that have support and that has also helped.0
