Bad Bad Weekend

OMG I had the worst weekend ever. I feel like everything that passed my mouth this weekend was not healthy and I'm very upset with myself. During the week I do very well because I pack my lunch for work and log it. This weekend I went to two parties (a jewlery party and baby shower) and I felt like I needed to eat everything in my sight. I don't know how to avoid situations like that, escpecially when it comes to cake or any kind of sweets... HELP!

You gotta have willpower and dedication not to just eat healthy but in keeping promises to yourself so you dont feel guilty later...try pre planning allowing yourself 1 desert or item of choice at an event...and eat a salad prior to going..bring your bottled water with you to avoide drinking soda or alcohol. I suggest putting on your sneakers and going for a brisk 60min walk ...or pop in a dvd and do a workout...just reflect on your goals and why you want to achieve them0

when i'm going to parties like that, I usually offer to bring something, and make sure its something relatively healthy...(there's been a lot of talk about hummus on the threads this week, that's a good, one, and its satisfying) that way I know there will be something I like that is good for me.0

get the same way when there's a lot of good food in one room. I also have a really hard time staying away from cakes, cookies, candy, etc....(probably why I have high triglycerides!!) It's hard not to get down on yourself because you feel like you just took one step forward, two steps back.......just know you're not alone!!! Chin up, tomorrow's another day. : ) Be proud of what you've accomplished so far!0
