How does the '30-day shred' work?

I joined this site on the 1st January, and so far think it's great for the encouragement and motivation it brings!
I have noticed a few people starting the 30-day shred, which I have checked out online and have ordered the dvd. But I was just curious how it works with the different levels. Is there a set period of time you do each level? are there additional dvds? Starting to feel quite eager to start this ... and was after a little more information to ease the wait of the dvd.
Thank you all,

You put the DVD in the machine and watch the gorgeous Lillian do her magic then record 500 burnt kcal. I would work up a sweat just watching them exercise.0

I burn around 200 calories.
To the OP, it's circuit training, basically. You'll need some hand weights (I recommend lowish weights if you're new to working out or you'll have to stop in the middle!). Basically, you do three minutes of weights, two minutes, cardio and one minute abs. You do that three times per level.
There are three levels and the idea is to do each level for 10 days.0 -
On a serious note rml, does it work equally well for males and females?0

I would imagine. It's basically weight training and cardio. Weights for the upper body, pushups, lots of squats and lunges and then the ab work.
I think it's directed toward women (since she only has women IN the video), but I don't see why a man wouldn't benefit from it. You will, however, discover muscles you never knew you had.0 -
Go to the Group section and join the newest 30 day shred group. It started on January 9.
You do it for 30 days. You will need 3lbs weights and probably 5lbs to start. You do level 1 for 10 days, level 2 for 10 days and level 3 for 10 days. That being said, I have seen many people do it every other day as well. But the true 30 days would be in a row. The workout total takes 25 mins, warm up and stretching. It's a butt kicker for sure. Good Luck!0 -
Thank you for all your responses. I plan to take some before and after pics so will keep you all up to date. Thanks again x0

I started the 30 Day Shred last night - WOW! It's quite the work out. I record my session under my exercise are circut training as well. I use 3 lb hand weights and find that is enough for me right now.
I took some before pictures as well, but I also took my measurements - I'd recommend doing your measurements along with the pictures so you can really guage your progress!!
GOOD LUCK!0
