When I joined mfp I was just going to log my calories and carry on the same way, that way I would be able to carry on for the rest of my life.
Well that didnt work for me, I discovered I was not eating enough, I did exercise and now find I miss it on my rest days. I have found that my food choices are changing and (I never thought I would say this) my coffee consumtion has dropped and been replaced by water. I mean I never would have thought it but I drink water in the winter lol.
I find myself looking at web sites about lkifting weights and looking forward to trying them out. I am getting stronger and loving it. I had an operation in may 2011 to remove a part of my kidney and before that I couldnt walk due to pain but now relish exercise. I have a new life and am loving it. I do suffer from severe bouts of depression and am hoping that the exercise will help with that too. fingers crossed.
I have had weeks with no weight loss and for the first time I have not given up. I even took fotos of myself - something I avoid at all costs - and was able to see a big difference while only losing 1 pound.
Just thought I would say if I can do it anybody can.
