So I had been searching for a good turkey chili recipe that had a great spicy flavor. After looking around I combined a couple to come up with this DELICIOUS and hearty recipe. Just a warning that it does have a kick, but you can always use less spice to change that I live with 2 adult men, so they eat large portions. The nutrition facts are based on 4 servings.
1 pound ground turkey
½ onion
1 green pepper
1 red pepper
1 can kidney beans
1 can Rotel – Diced tomatoes and green chilies, Original
28 ounces crushed tomatoes
2 gloves garlic
2 tbs chili powder
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp dried oregano
½ tsp cayenne pepper
½ ground cumin
Total: Calories-1530 Carbs-162 Fat-35 Protein-127 Sodium2933
Per Serving: Calories-383 Carbs-41 Fat-9 Protein-32 Sodium-733
Next time I Make this recipe I will be looking for a lower sodium option to the canned kidney beans. Hope you enjoy it!
