I am soo hungry on the days I work, and usually have no energy to workout,I wonder if I should bump my cals from "lightly active" to "active" on work days, what do you guys think? I am a personal care worker in a hospital and I usually work 8 or 12 hour days. The problem is,I am casual so I work anywheres from 2-7 days a week ( usually 4 and every other day though) so I would have to keep adjusting it back and forth on my days off.

I would say eat the "active" amount for days you work and lightly active for days off. You shouldn't be hungry all the time... hunger is your body's way of telling you it needs more fuel.

I'd tend to agree with shova. Just bump it for active days. I know the site isn't designed to work that way, but where your lifestyle is that varied, I suspect it makes sense.

Care work is pretty tough physical activity, and you do need to make sure you're well fuelled.

Why not trial and error for a couple of weeks, and see how it impacts your weight?
