Cup of water?

When it says "drink 8 cups of water a day" how big exactly are these cups of water? As I generally re-fill my 1litre bottle in work about 5/6 times a shift, plus I drink some at home so I'm not sure how to gauge just how much that is in "cups" it's all a bit vague for my liking.

Thanks,
David

Would like to know this too! Is it the same as the way Americans measure baking things in 'cups'? Never have a clue what that means, surely a cup can be any size...

I have a 24 oz. water bottle that I use at work and 24 oz. is equal to 3 cups. Hope that helps a little bit. One cup is equal to 8 oz.

ps 1 cup is about 237 ml (often rounded to 250ml for easier converting)

Yes, in measurement a cup is 8 oz. 64 ounces of water is what the recommended daily intake is. Two liters is 66 ounces so you need just shy of two liters to meet the daily recommended intake.
  • Metric cup is 250ml, or 1/4 of a litre
