is there a 'converter' facility anywhere on this site?

as above really, would like to be able to have a converter to hand 
i'm sure i can find one on the internet, but i would really like to have everything in one place!

Not that I'm aware of. But what are you trying to convert? For most things you can just type "convert 1 pound to kilograms" into google and it gives you the answer automatically.0

ah, okay thanks, i'd tried using the 'search' function on here but it kept timing out.
i used to have a small electronic gizmo, years ago, which would convert anything, weight, volume, distance, length, etc, & it was really useful - thought it would be cool to have one on here as my phone is ancient, & i have to come right out of the site i'm on to go back to google, which is a pita!0
