Hi! I'm new here, and wanted to introduce myself. I started out losing weight last year by using MediFast. I lost 65 pounds in 9 months, without exercise. I also lost about half of my hair, all of my energy, and although I was losing and getting close to my goal, I was feeling cranky, lethargic and just not well. I decided to take a break. We went on a cruise in November and after that, together with the holidays...BOOM! 20 pounds regained in just a couple of months. And it's not like I binged. My poor metabolism had probably slowed to a crawl from the low calorie diet.
I was militant while on MediFast, but strangely, I was feeling so much better health-wise after eating more normally for a couple of months that I didn't mind so much that I had regained. I realized I simply cannot maintain an 800 calorie 90 carb daily diet, especially one without exercise, and still feel well. Not to mention the minute I go off plan I gain, and gain quickly.
So.....I climbed back on the wagon last week and found this site. I'm using a combination of Wonderslim high protein shakes and supplements together with healthy foods to get me on the right path again. I have started exercising for the first time in 2 years. I'm walking about 2 miles a day and doing 45 - 60 minutes a day of Just Dance 3. (By the way, for anyone wondering, Just Dance is pretty fun!)
I feel scared to eat so many calories a day (after 800 a day, 1500 or so a day feels like an enormous amount of food, but I'm exercising) but I'm giving it a try to see how it goes. I hope I don't regain any more...I really need to get these last 30 pounds off.
I hope to get to know you and hear about your stories too!
