I talked to a guy I work with who is a professional body builder. He suggested I drink protein shakes to make up for the loss calories from exercising that way it will help with the muscle. Is this a good idea, or just a way to keep the weight on? Thanks!

That's what I do also and so far I have great results.0

One thing I've wondered is - does the protein used by the body to repair muscle count towards calories consumed. More specifically, does does the body get the energy from the protein that is ultimately used in muscle?0
