Does the weather effect how or what you eat?

I find it so much easier on a hot day to eat better and drink more, whereas like today where good ol' Tassie dropped in temperature (as it does) that I struggled at times to stop myself from going to the pantry!!

Why is that? Does this happen to anyone else??

  • When you're cold, your body burns more calories just to stay warm (so I'm told). Plus, throughout most of history, Winter was a time when there wasn't much food available. Therefore, your body and brain want you to eat. It's hard-wired into you.
