It kind of hit me the other day when I noticed some co workers of mine and their reactions to our hometown colts this year. We hadn’t won a game and were just playing horrible. It dragged them down so much. It seemed to ruin them. It got me thinking, are they bigger fans than I am? Why are they so down?

After thinking about it a bit I realized that their emotions always followed their surroundings. If the weather was beautiful outside, they were always in a great mood. You can bet if it was nasty outside, their day was ruined. So sad that they allowed other people and other things to control how they felt. These ‘things’ are those things that we cannot change. The weather, other people’s actions, choices, decisions, etc.

What they don’t realize is being happy is a choice. Winning is a choice. No matter what the score is of the game, if you are a winner, it doesn’t matter. Life is hard and can be downright cruel at times. How we react to what happens to us is up to us. We decide our fate, our outcomes.

I often help people lose weight and it never fails those with the positive attitudes, the hard work ethics, the winners, those are the people that drop weight like crazy. Then you will have the ‘other’ people that will dwell in their misery accusing these people of superior genetics. It usually has nothing to do with genetics, only the will to do better, to achieve great things. Once they have the tools in place to be successful, they succeed.

It’s there for the taking for anyone that wants it. You can be on the winning team. It’s your choice. It doesn’t matter if it’s the decision to lose weight, the struggle with moving past the loss of a loved one, or losing a job. You are in control of your happiness. You can weigh whatever you want to weigh, achieve whatever you want to achieve, and be as happy as you want to be. The choice is yours. Choose to win!

    So true!
The can-do attitudes know to take action and let nothing get in their way.
Goal setting and achievement don't happen by accident.

I know thats right!! I had to get away from people myself that were constantly complaining....and always blaming others for things not going right in their lives. They were stressing me out! Cut em loose and wish them the best. But you cant hold me down too.
