For years I've been struggling with my weight. I kept it mostly under control with yoyo dieting before I had kids but after I had them I've spiraled out of control. I am not sure what is going on but I just want to eat! Stressors in my life I know are a factor. This is the second bout of unemployment my husband has had in three years and I am hoping that we can get through it. I need to learn to turn to excersize or another activity besides eating to sooth stress. My first thought when I am stressed is to eat something comforting. My husband tries to help but he just doesn't care about eating right unless I make him so I need partners in this and I am hoping to find them here.

I really can't fail at this again, I am done having kids and I just want a body that I can be proud of and have more energy for my kids.

The only way to fail at something is to stop trying

    Don't try = 100% chance of failure
Try = <100% chance of failure

That's how I look at it. Helps me at least. Good luck to you!

A lovely quote many times on MFP is 'a year from now you'll wish you started today'.

You will have good days and bad days as do we all but lots of support and help here to cheer the former and help you through latter.

    Hi
Just read the posts - there are many of us who have tried to lose weight / gain health for different reasons, different ages, different levels of fitness and fatness - there are amazing stories of success and support from others to help you.

Every journey starts with the first step, and coming here - you have done that. So one step at a time, all in the right direction. Don't have to rush, or beat anyone, just one step at a time, making better choices as best you can, and see how you go.

I agree - if you never try you will ensue failure; give it a go and you are a winner for trying. All the very best, :flowerforyou:
