I'm new to MFP, so I'm just popping in to introduce myself.
I'm a 32year old married mum of 2 from the UK. I've struggled with my weight since my late teens, and was at my biggest about 5 years ago when I hit over 14 1/2 stone. I managed to lose a lot of weight then combining a strict Atkins-type diet with plenty of exercise (My highllight was dropping below 10 stone).
Since then I've continued to increase my exercise, but my diet's slipped very badly. We've had a difficult few months, and I now find myself back on the upward slope, with my weight creeping over 12 stone again.
My goal now is to get back down to 10 stone for my sister's wedding in April. I only started using MFP on Monday, but I've loved being able to track my exercise vs consumed calories, and I've found so far that it forces me to stop eating when I hit my calorie allowance for the day :-).
My calorie goal is 1200kcal per day but with the running, cycling and swimming I do, I've made it up closer to 2000 calories every day so far. I'm hoping that this site will give me the motivation I need to drop the 31 pounds I need to lose by April. And to avoid being obsessive, I promise I'll only weigh in on a Monday ;-)
