But when I changed my diet, I went cold turkey. I cut out all caffeinated beverages, junk food, anything fried, and most of the time if I eat out it is a salad.
So I had lunch out yesterday at a Mexican place and was ok, but then for dinner I pan fried a turkey burger and had some pretzel sticks.
All night I was sick to my stomach. I know it was combo of the fried and fast food.
Is it possible that my body rejects these bad foods? It also happened a week or two ago when I had pizza? Just 2 squares.
I just wanted to be able to enjoy a so-so meal here in there but still stay within my limits. I don't think this is going to happen.
Thanks for any insight.

I hear about other having this problem a lot, but I really don't have it. Try making your own pizza, it's less greasy. And maybe instead of panfrying, try grilling... the grease will run off. I don't know if that will help but really... you should get sick after eating a homemade turkey burger.0

You probably just had a bit too much. Your body's starting to recognize whats good and whats bad. Thats GREAT! You can still eat that kind of food, just not so much. Congrats! :flowerforyou:
and PS: What's a SQUARE of pizza? you gotta come over to NYC and have a slice... You may have an upset tummy, but you'll love every bite :laugh:0 -
I get sick to my stomach if I eat something that is greasy now.
It is your body's way of saying it wants the good stuff!! :drinker: (in my opinion)0 -
I get the same way with anything really sweet. My stomach will hurt and my taste buds can't stand it. It gets used to it if I have a small sweet or something without added sugars or homemade, but if it's anything bought from a bakery or packaged and full of preservatives, I can't stand it.0

I glad that I am not the only person, my DP thinks that I am crazy. I have changed everything just to lose weight and he has lost so much weight by changing his job.
Fuhgetaboutit- a square I am meaning think crust pieces they are cut into squares instead of slices. I thought it would be better for me. I don't think I ate too much. I make sure I stick with the serving size.0 -
It seems to be just a transient thing, it's not permanent! You WILL eat Mexican again without feeling sick, lol.0

Here's how to eat Mexican food without feeling like you have to vomit, because that's how I ALWAYS felt after that heavy, heavy food...I order the chicken taco salad with no cheese, no sour cream...guac okay. Instead of dressing, just add a bunch of salsa, and of course, DONT eat the shell. You will be full and not have that bad stomach ache! If they have black beans, not the refried kind, add those too!0

Even before I started eating healthy foods a day out with fast food could make me ill. There's a lot of grease and salt. You might have been ok with only lunch or dinner but going out twice was probably an overload that day. I would bet that you had larger portions than you're used to now and that's what caused the problem not the types of food you ate.
You can still have pizza and mexican or anything else that you want. I don't know about you but I don't want to spend the rest of my life avoiding cheese, french fries or birthday cake. I still have all these things and they are delicious and I don't get sick from it! I just have them less often and in smaller doses.0 -

I cut things too its only your body telling you that your probably eating too much just because your in our calories does not mean that your body can hold all that food at once especially meats and carbs. a pattie of any kind of meat at a restaurant is usually double if not triple portion size. Because I cut my bread rice and pasta on Jan 1 I can no longer sit and eat a full sleeve of crackers or even a full slice of bread like I used to ..I get bloated and sick....at max I can have 1/2 slice of bread or 5 crackers....I didbt cut my carbs indefinately just until I can better portion myself with them...its all a learning experience next time have them cut sandwhiches in half and omit the bread all together and make sure you stick to portion sizes with pretzals and such or opt for a few sweet potato fries instead or a bowl of soup..good luck...personally i wouldnt slip back into old habits too soon0
