Im new....am i doing this right?

Hi,
I started calorie counting yesterday and just need to know that I'm doing this the right way. So far I'm thinking it works like this....
1. Dont eat under or above your calories. Same with carbs etc.?
2. If I exersise, this will mean I have to replace the used carbs with more food? (I've yet to exersise)?
3. Once I start to lose, my goals will change?
Are there any other basics I need to know? I've had a skim over the threads for newbies, but don't have time at the moment to read them all. I just want to know i'm doing it the right way until I get a chance to do so.

I would say you are on the right track. Focus at first on keeping within your calorie limits and then worry about carb/protein/fat ratios. Obviously do your best to eat healthy foods, but for the first few weeks or so just focus on changing one big thing at a time.0
